The main volume comprises 68 pages and presents eighty-five reproductions of the artist?s etchings, taken from the album of proof impressions assembled by the artist for Juan Agustín Ceán Bermúdez and now preserved in the British Museum. A colour portrait frontispiece is included, with additional figures appearing in the accompanying commentary volume. The principal volume features marbled endpapers by Jemma Lewis and is bound by Grafos S.A., Barcelona, in full modern marbled calfskin, decorated with gilt bands and a red leather spine label lettered in gilt; the lower edge of the text block is stamped ?Goya? in gilt. The commentary volume is bound in black cloth, with gilt spine lettering and a paper title label to the upper board. Both volumes are housed in the original black cloth Solander box, lettered in gilt and with a paper title label on the upper board. Issued in a limited edition of 980 copies.- Tadellos erhalten.
